Amma. How she loved her diamonds! That’s all she ever wore.  Simple, elegant and understated,  yet dynamic, bold, and brave. She had a commanding presence, and was always impeccably dressed in gorgeous sarees and a simple diamond stud and pendant. For weddings, she usually brought out a slightly more elaborate diamond necklace. She also dabbled in semi precious stones. But Gold, silver and other metals were never her thing. She just needed metal to hold the diamonds in place ;) 

Shruthi. How I love  jewelry! As a child, I saw my mom mostly wear diamonds, and was definitely influenced by her fashion sense, but I was fascinated by all kinds of jewelry.
